Hi all, I was really excited to try and become pregnant this month. My parents are going to Copenhagen and Italy elba in Septemner 21ste till 6 october. Thy offered to pay my flight tickets, accomadation everything!!! All we have to pay is hubbies flights. This is really a big oppertunity and we can't afford to ever do this! So I checked and it looks like you are still aloud to travelTravel sickness up to 32 weeks? I worked out if we try and concieve again from the 14 April then I will be 23 to 26 weeks pregnant at that stage. They did say we will be having a relaxed time and hire a car? So my questions:
* Do you think I should go for it?
* Do you think I will be able to move/travel on 26 weeks?
* How can I prevent to become pregnant before April?
Sorry for all the questions but I am a bit confused? My parents don't know we are TTC. We are a huge familyBirth control and family planning Choosing a primary care provider Ewing’s sarcoma Family troubles - resources and if everybody knows it will spiral out of controlControl Control rx!
Flight in europe allow you to travelTravel sickness up until 28 weeks without a doctors certificate, after that you will only be able to travelTravel sickness with a certificate.
However that is for short haul flights. Long haul flights have different time limits, which tend to be before this time.
As long as your doctor can be sure that you will not give birth on the plane they will allow you to travel.
As you are not pregnant yet, you can not be sure on how you will be when you are pregnant and if you will be up to travelling (drving around Italy is not very relaxing, trust me I am an Italian living in Italy, it is more strssful than driving in London). Mayb e you should wait to see how you will be feeling or make sure you get insurance in case you need to cancel.
If you need to know time restrictions, each airline is different. Continental, for instance, only requires a doctor's note if you're a week from your due date. I think most restrictions are around 36 weeks - but check, and the travel insurance is probably worth it.
If you want to know if you ought to go, it sounds great. I can tell you it sucks to be in a coach seat more than an hour - I travelled home to my parents at 30 weeks and returned at 32, and it was miserable. Plus be prepared to turn away food that you shouldn't have. (unpasteurized cheeses, etc). And keep in mind that you might not feel well. I got morning sickness back between 20 and 25 weeks. However, there are no significant health threats in going. Just do your homework ahead of time, and pace yourself.
2.) If you are going to do this traveling I'd suggest the 2nd trimester, around 15 weeks or so. That seems to be the best time for a lot of things.
