My cousin is trying ttc. She has irregular periods and hasn't had one for 21/2 months. She has taken two otc tests which came up neg. Her question is what can she take to regulate her period and conceive. Her doctor wants her to take birth controlControl Control rx pills, but she doesn't want to do that as she wants to start trying for a baby in the next few months and that route doesn't make sense. Any info would be great. Thanks
I understand why she doesn't want to take birth controlControl Control rx pills because she wants to have a baby, but she really should consider taking them for a few months. I was put on birth controlControl Control rx pills after getting off depo and not having a period (My doc did try Provera, but it took me 6 weeks to get a period, and I didn't get another one) So she put me on birth controlControl Control rx. I went home and cried to my hubby because I wanted a baby not birth control. My hubby told me to do what the dr says because she has the medical degree and knows what shes talking about. The first month on the birth control is the first month I ovulated (I didn't ovulate with the provera) in 6 years and I got pregnant the first month, unfortuantly I miscarried that baby, was put on birth control the next month again to regulate my cycle again and got pregnant the first month on birth control again and I'm now 27 weeks pregnant. She really should consider birth control for a few months, it might get her a baby faster then trying without the pills. BABY DUST!
