Tummy time?

What is tummy time? People keep mentioning it, but I have never been around babies, so can someone help me out?

Tummy time is when you put your baby on the floor on their tummy to paly and strenght their neck muscles. Also helps them learn to rollover from front to back.

It seems to be vey popular now days...I even bought a special tummy time mat at Target..really cute..its really important for strengthening the trunk or torso area of the baby...I wish I would have done it more with my first son.....he was (we found out later) low tone
alot of babies hate it at first...my baby likes it some days but other days hates it...I still do it though as much as I can everyday..even if he's bitching about it....I figure eventually he will get used to it and like it
