Two Sacs, measuring large...twins / need advice?

I have a question for those that have been through the whole twin pregnancy.  Here's my information:  I went into the doctor at 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant.  because of previous mc and i also had two cycles in the same month, he did an US. Also my husband and i concieved while on birth control and we know the exact date it happened.  Anyways, DR measured me as 7weeks and 1 day.  Found a sac with a fetal pole and a heart beat, then found another sac, a little smaller, but he said he could not see anything. it was to the left of the larger sac and up a little higher.   So he has scheduled me for another ultrasound the following week.  I went and got blood work done at 7 weeks and 3 days and my HCG level was 42,732.  Which i tried to tell them it is impossible that i could have concieved on the 12th like they tell me.  Do you think the other sac is hopeless or that maybe the baby will show up at 8 weeks 3 days to their calculation, which would be 6 weeks 3 days to my calcualtions.  Any advice or experince woudl be great!  We are so confused.  When i had my son, at 5 or 6 weeks i forget which, my HCG was 935.  thanks for any comments!

I had my first scan at 6 weeks my calculations and the doc found 2 sacs one measurine 5w 3d with hb and the other 5 w and no hb. When we went back a weeks later they were both there beating away. So it is possible. We had one concieve (conceive) 3 days after the other. Good luck let me know if you have more questions.

Hi - thanks for the response!  Were your HCG levels high?  I'm wondering if there are two or not.  I go this friday.  I want to know so bad!  I have two other children and we were not planning on having anymore, so one was a big shock, but two would be even more.  But deep down it would be cool to have twins.  The only thing i can think of is if one was concieved between may3-7th and then the other one teh end of may, since I had two cycles.  He did not tell me what size the other sac was.  He said that his machine in the office it not as good as the one at the hospital, so that is where im giong on friday!  I do feel different this time, i have such a hard time staying a wake at work!  I'm so tired all the time!  My stomach feels a little tighter, but no morning sickness and didnt have it with the other two either! Thanks for your help!

I didn't have my hgc done that is not routine in Australia. I have heard on here before that this can be cused from twins. It is possible for the sperm to live for a few days so there can be a difference without needing to have sex again. I didn't feel any different until about 8 weeksa and then I got morning sickness which I had never had with my older two. I do hope that there are twins. They are so fun and no matter how many times you hear they are twice the work they are really not that much harder. Good luck Friday and let us all know what happens.

I've gone through a whole twin pregnancy to 38W3D...
My twins didn't have a size problem until about 25 weeks.  I had one a little smaller then the other.  They told me if this continues and the smallest one is 2-3 week behind the other, they would have to deliver me.  But luckily, she turned out just fine and they're both turning 3 in Sept.  

I went to the doctors very early because of my morning sickness.  I couldn't do anything bout it.  I thought I was about 5-6 weeks, but turned out I was 7W3D.  The two looked just alike in size.  I can't help you there.

They will do a monthly U/S on you up until you have them just to check growth.  So if the date is wrong, they'll correct you.  Mine was right on even though I don't remember having sex at the time frame ...LOL
