UPDATE: Do these number sound good? Doubling okay?

I've been so worried about miscarriage.  Today I am 5 weeks 4 days and my HCG was 9,804.....is this okay???

Betas are supposed to double every 48-72 hours correct?


My numbers have been:

All the other numbers doubled every 33 hours and this time it doubled in 70 hours.  Is that a bad sign?  Or does it slow down just a bit?

I think your numbers look great, Allie.  That should help you relax a little, right.  Is the repeat u/s next week??  I'm sure everything is going to be just fine.  We're all pulling for you and your little one!

Your numbers stop doubling every 48 hours after you reach a certain number. I think once you're over 1200 then you only double every 72 hours... Your numbers are much higher than mine were at that point. I think everything looks great. Congrats and have a happy and healthy nine months!

OH thank you SO MUCH!!!!!  Did you have a healthy baby, Tinad?  I sure hope so!

I was worried because they didn't doulbe this time as fast as they had before.....but I guess that's okay.


Also, I just feel crampy....and I want it to stop!

I'm currently 7 weeks 3 days so we'll see what happens. I had a m/c in Jan 2006 and this is my 1st pregnancy since then. So far everything seems to be okay. I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks 1 day and DH and I saw the baby's heartbeat. My first regular ob appt is on the 22nd which is exactly one year after the m/c. The crampiness stopped for me sometime within this last week but now I'm getting morning sickness. You won't hear me complain about it though. I'm just too happy to be pregnant to worry too much about the little stuff. Good luck to you!

FYI -- my doctor said this morning that crampiness can be a sign of dehydration.  Drink lots of water to help.

If it's any consolation, my doubling rate based on my 5w5d reading and my 6w1d reading was 96 hours and I'm now 37 weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby! Everyone told me the doubling rate does start to slow around this time... Good luck!

i think mine doubled in 24 hrs up till hcg was around 25,000 but everyone's different.
