UPDATE.. These damn contractions!

by Jamie12269, Apr 14, 2007 12:00AM
First of all, thanks for all your responces and stories. Everyones had such different experiences. Its so interesting to read them all!

Well im still at home and contractions are getting really sore. I feel like a wuss. I hate complaining about them because i know they're going to get worse!  Im currently waiting on my codeine from the chemist (sent my man out on a mission).. ill see if that helps.  Contractions are are still the same time apart.. sometimes they vary from 6 mins, 8 mins or 10 mins. Its driving me crazy as the pain is getting bad!
I lost more mucas last night and this morning and it was blood stained, so i guess that was my show.

So still at home..  but ill keep you posted.

Thanks girls, it helps to have your sympathy and advice!

Good luck i just had my baby on tues and had contractions one on top of the other it sucked.  I hope you don't get to that point and have it for a long period of time.  I had it like that for 7 hours straight before they decided to do a c-section.  Good luck

You complain to us as much as you need. We all have been there (some soon to be there) It sounds like it's going to be really soon for you. Try and rest as much as you can. (if thats possible while having contractions) before you know it you will have that little one in your arms. Good luck and I hope you have a speedy delivery!

You sound just like me.  My contractions did the same thing, unfortunately my Dr. was not as kind as yours to give me anything before I went in to the hospital.  I had contractions like that for weeks, they would start and get to that point and then stop after several hours.  I hope yours keeps going.  You are not complaining, labor is hard work and does not feel good, but so worth it.  I hope you get to hold your little one in your arms shortly, good luck and try to rest when you can!
