UTI and Bleeding. HELP

I was experiencing a UTI for the past few weeks. This is my 5th UTI since Jan 06 (4 since aug) I started to spot on Thursday..and thinking it may have been from the UTI I made a dr. appointment on Friday. I went and confirmed the infection. She put me on Cipro, which is a 3 days antibiotic. I told her about the bleeding, explained that it was spotting, as if I were finishing my period. She didn't say anything about it!  Well the infection is gone...but yesterday the bleeding got worse. I had to put a tampon in and I noticed that I was having some minor cramps. Today I'm bleeding like I am on my period! I was trying to remember if I forgot to take a BC pill which may have lead to breakthrough bleeding. So I was thinking about it but I don't remember 100%. I think I may have forgotten one night...maybe the end of the week before last. But normally if I do the double dose the next day and keep on track again I don't see anything (breakthrough). But gosh...even if it is breakthrough it normally lasts maybe 2 days and its spotting...this is like a period! I just went to the bathroom and (sorry tmi) I was dripping blood! I know that some UTI meds can kill off BC..so maybe it's breakthrough bleeding and the UTI meds are making it to where my body thinks I'm not taking the BC? This bleeding is annoying. At the moment I am starting the third week of my pack..and I never even noticed if I ovulated? I normally know by breast tenderness...As soon as I ovulate my breasts become tender...and I do get some CM. This time I was spotting so I never noticed any CM...and my BBS havent really gotten tender yet. Could this make me ovulate late? OY any advice or experiences would be grand! Thanks gals!

By the way. I am going to a Urologist on June 10th for testing. Anyone ever been?
