Unclear heart chambers in ultrasound

Unclear heart chambers in ultrasound

Well, I went for my follow-up visit to the doctor after my ultrasound last Wednesday. She said that it seemed as if the baby's heart only had two chambers instead of four, but she told us not to worry because it might have had something to do with the baby's position at the time (he-she wasn't too cooperative). She said she was going to set up a level 2 ultrasound for me...it has only been one day and it seems like an eternity. How can I not worry when she said there is even a slight chance that something could be wrong. I looked up information online, but I'm really not sure what to think or what to expect...even what I should be prepared for during my next visit. I guess i'm just looking for something information on what this could mean...the doctor really didn't want to discuss anything until we knew for sure whether there was a problem or not.

Maybe it was just a crapy machine and a very active baby. I think that when I first went in to my dr's at 8 wks, she told me he was small but then she said it could be her machine.  I went a few weeks later on a better machine, the kind the do the level 2's on and he was fine.  I'll hope and pray that it's only a crapy machine and an active baby.

First let me say i'm sorry you are having to go thru this, God bless you and your baby. I have no real answers for you, I know that the lower level ultrasounds are not as good as levels 3/4d. please keep us informed and I will keep you and the baby in my prayers

thanks ladies. i keep telling myself that it was just the machine quality and nothing else. but we know how hard it is not to worry, especially if it has to do with our child. thanks again :)
