Well my IUD had to be taken out ( which hurt like hell) because it was laying down sideways in my uterus. After my gyn. pulled on my strings for like 5 minutes it FINALLY came out. He almost had to send me to get it surgically removed. Now I dont know what to do because I do not want to get on hormonal birth controlControl Control rx. He said I could have a new IUD put back in but I would have to wait a few weeks. My IUD was basically not doing its job and thankfully I did not get pregnant with it in. He said since I am still pumping pretty often that I was probably not ovulating. Well I guess my and DH will have to use condomsCondoms Female condoms or just let baby #2 happen. I kinda want to just have baby #2 and DH can get fixed:) Anyway just wanted to update my IUD journey. Thanks
I have a girlfriend who has this IUD and got pregnant just recently, but miscarried due to the IUD being in. It was not where it was supposed to be and she had to have it removed also. She hemorrhaged. Scary. This is the IUD I use, but have never gotten pregnant with it. This is the 2nd one I've had and no problems...hopefully never! Sorry you had a bad experience with it. I love mine!
Oh no, that sounds horrible, I had a tampon stuck once and that hurt to remove so I can't even imagine a lopsided IUD being pulled out. Well good luck with making baby #2 if that's what you do decide to do.
I am wondering, If you are 4 months pregnant with an IUD still in place. How do you know what to do? is there a cutCuts and puncture wounds off place to having it removed or is it just safer to carry the baby to term ( If posible?) When can you know that the baby is gonna be ok? Is there a way of knowing this? Can my grandchild make it? Can they be delivered c section earlier, providing the baby is still growing and has a heartbeatHeart palpitations Ultrasound, normal fetus - heartbeat Ultrasound, ventricular septal defect - heartbeat? Does anyone know? My daughter says she just cant cope with any of this so she is just sleeping alot and he says she hopes she wakes up with the IUD out.
Becca, how do you know you weren't protected against pregnancy for the past 11 months? There is no way to really tell such a thing. The way you usually know that a form of birth controlControl Control rx isn't working is that you become pregnant.
Just curious why he would tell you that it wasn't working. When in fact, you didn't become pregnant for 11 months. I know you are breastfeeding, and that offers some protection, but unless you are EXCLUSIVELY nursing or pumping and not offering any other bottles or food, you will likely ovulate.
