Update on my D

Well it's not molar, thank God.  AS some of you know I had a D&C last Sat.  I was 11 weeks along and no fetus, yet my hormones were well over 265,000!  Also there was no fetal tissue found at all, it was a total blighted ovum.  My Dr. has never seen a blighted ovum with hormones like mine in his entire career!  This is our third miscarriage in row this year. He thinks it's chromosome issues.  I'll get that testing back in several weeks.  We have one healthy girl and he thinks it's like a 20/80 thing where one of us the egg or sperm or maybe both have genetic chromosome problems and 20% are bad and 80% are good.  This increases the likely hood of miscarriage or birth defects.  We are done and not tempting fate here.  I don't want to bring something here that's not meant to be.  Worse would be horrible birth defects.  Much worse.  We love our 2 year old and we may decide to adopt a brother for her in a year.  First we will rest for a year and have some normal healthy happy living.  Then we'll decide what's right for our family.  I feel better this week, especially after hearing there was no fetal tissue at all.  Thanks, take care, good luck to all. -J-

I will miss you..and I am in a very similar situation.  I have had 2 miscarriages just this year..well one missed miscarriage and one ectopic.  I am almost 34 and don't know if I really want to try again.  I feel the same fears about birth defects, etc...i'm terrified.  I will keep you in my prayers...i'm feeling pretty down since my ectopic..good days and bad..but i'm just really sad and feel empty.  Enjoy every minute of your two year old! Mine makes me laugh and smile! =) I REALLY wanted to finally have a girl, but I guess for whatever reason it maybe wasn't meant to be.  I hope the best for you and your family!(((((BIG HUGS))))))))
