Urinary Tract Infection my whole 8 moths

I wanted to know if it is normal to have a UTI during your whole 40 weeks

it's normal to have recurring UTI's, but i is definitely not normal to have one continuous UTI for the entire duration of your pregnancy. do you know for sure it's a UTI? have you been diagnosed? UTIs can become serious infections that can endanger your health and the health of your baby.

i am 24 weeks and have had one sicne the beginning

one of teh first things they did when it didn't go away was send me to a urologist to see if it was arecurring or constant

he did lots of tests and was able to determine the infection was in my kidneys - therefore much harder to get rid of

some weeks its worse than others - BUT it has been constant since october

Interesting to see this was posted as I only got out of hospital last tuesday with a UTI and the reason I was hospitalised was due to having UTI 2 wks earlier so they wanted to kill it before it continued.  That was my 3rd during this pregnancy and I just had bloods today to see if all infection is gone.  I am 26 wks and also had a glucose tolorant test today and I know we should listen to all we read but apparently UTI's and GD are sometimes linked.  Have any of you on here that had repeat UTI got gestational diabetes?  Just wondering...I was really off colour when i got home from testing that i vomited and had diareha(sp??) and slept for like 4 hours....the sugar boost really hit me.  I feel a little better now but very weak...dh just made me dinner and so far it is staying down, first thing I have managed to eat and keep in since 8.30 last night.

Thanks for all of the replies.  Yes they have told me that I have a UTI they will give me med and then come back in 7 days and it is still there I was takeing med everyday so they just gave me some new ones I take those for 7 days and when I am done I go back to the doctor so that they can test me again.  I am more worried that something could happen to my baby he moves and all that but I am still worried Thanks for the help
