Using Clorox during pregnancy

i'm in my 2nd trimester. used clorox (non chlorine type for coloured clothing) with BEAR hands while washing my tshirt. will this hurt the baby??? pretty worried now...

No, but you should always wear gloves so you don't get a skin irritation.

i used bleach for everything during all my pregnancies.. without  gloves ( which yo probably should use..) all mykids are great..... i have a 9 weeks old stinky box.. and hes great  as well... dont worry!!!

thanks so much! i'm just being paranoid tat the chemicals would harm the little one...cos i felt some light stings on my hands.

Actually, not to sound rude but Bleach is VERY bad for you and worse for our little ones!   It is actually banned in the UK!  It can cause cancer, allergies, asthma and many other things. There are SO MANY naturals cleaners out there...check them out!  There are lots of safer alternatives out there.  We switched over to a botanical disinfectant after Jayden was born and it is EPA approved to even be used in hospitals, daycares, restaurants, etc. We ended up switching everything in our home over to safer more natural stuff and we don't pay any more than we use to and I get everything shipped right to my door.  If anyone wants to know more let me know.  You moms should watch this video.  I watched it and it totally changed my views!  It was a TV special done by CBC Canada Marketplace (kinda like our Dateline or 20/20).  Type the web address below in your browser and check it out...only about 15-16 minutes long!  You will need to have or install RealPlayer to watch it.  I LOVE to swap stories with other mommies so let me know what you think:-)
