Check with your dr. In my clinic V-BACs are not allowed anymore. If you really want to, you'll have to find a dr. who wants to take that risk with you.
my son was sunnyside up too and he wouldnt budge!! that alone can cause a c section. i too am thinking about trying a vbac but my dr would have to refer me since he will not do them. its scary the thought of rupturing, but the painful experiance would be great haha.
I went through a c-section with my first. My second I was just as determined as you. But let me tell you, your body could stall the same. I started pushing during contractions, just as they were preping me for another on, they checked me just in case and sure enough, I had dialated to 9 centimeters and was ready to really push. I praised and thanked God that I didn't get slaughtered (LOL) again. My third child was easy - 3 hours full labor! I hear exercise is a great tool as well.
One more thing to all, it would be helpful if everyone state their dr's name if they know he/she allows VBAC . I'm looking for a dr that allows it in Santa Barbara CA. So, let me know if you know a Dr.
I had a vbac.. I had one natural, the second was face first so I had a c section, the third I did a vbac and it was GREAT!!! I highly recommend it.. just do some research, no pitocin, you really shouldn't go over due date because that can cause problems, always be monitored and you will have to have an epidural incase of an emergency c. I was induced with my first 2 and this one came on her own 8 days early at 7:30 pm I went into labor and had her with 3 pushes at 2:05am..
just do research and be informed because the risk is a uteran tear.
oh and make sure that someone is at the hospital 24/7 to preform c sections, if you have a tear you WILL NOT have a moment to waste as you and your baby could die... sorry that is the dark side
I had a c-section and then a vaginal delivery with my second. They monitored me closely and it was a wonderful experience.
If your doctor says you can -- then you just need to decide what is best for you.
LOL!
I had a c section on #1 and this will be #2...so hoping I too can have a vaginal delivery if possible....

Prayers and blessings for your success!

I finally found, the closest doctors to SB that do VBAC .
Dr.Ronald De La and Dr.Van Geem both perform VBAC in Thousand Oaks CA.
