ok first take a deep breath and try to relax. I had brownish pink when I wiped when I was pregnant with my first child. And yes you could be pregnant and it could be way to early to see anything on an ultrasound. I had an ultrasound with my son ( my 2nd baby) and I was 7 weeks and we were just able to see him and hear a heartbeat then. If you were say 2 or 3 weeks...noway would they see anything. You could have a cyst but also be pregnant also. This is why I would get on the phone with your doctor and tell them your concerens and ask for a blood test to determine pregnancy. Let me know :-) good luck

Alright, here's the deal about cysts on the ovaries and uterus.  I learned all of this over the last 2 years (most of it while I was going through it with this pregnancy).  By my 13th week my ovarian cyst was the size of a honeydue melon and I had to have surgery to remove it.

1.)  Some cysts can cause HPT's to be "positive".  These are "false positives" for the most part.  I found this part out in 2005.
2.)  It is possible that you are pregnant, and it is still way early to see anything in an ultrasound.  Often ovarian cysts form what is called "functional" cysts and they help to promote the pregnancy in the early weeks.
3.)  Generally they can't see a pregnancy on the ultrasounds till the HCG levels are above 2500 (via blood test).

Again, check your HCG levels via a blood test, and again ask for another to follow up in 48-72 hours (pregnancy doubles the HCG in that time for a normal pregnancy).

Hope this helps, take it easy and keep us informed.
