WHEN WILL METHOTREXATE START TO WORK? SYMPTOMS?

I wanted to see if anybody can answer this question for me? As most of you know, I had a double dose of methotrexate yesterday. I do not feel anything yet. I have no cramps, and I am not bleeding. When should it start to work, and what should I expect? I had it injected before, but it did not work and I required sx so I do not know the symptoms I should be looking for to see if it is working. Hi Erica, you will start bleeding in about a week and also you'll feel very tired; you might experience some cramping, but at least for me it wasn't that bad.  I bled for about 5 days and then it stoped, and about 2 weeks later I started my period which was very heavy, but not to many cramps.  Good luck to you!!

hi erica,i know when i got the injection on 4-28-06 i didnt have any cramping i had light bleeding,and alot of bloating im still waiting for my hcg level to get to 0 which last monday it was 108 2day i had it check and i should know something tomorrow,oh and my dr said some times your hcg levels slows up when it get as low as mine, but other than that the methotrexate injection didnt give me any problems yet,i'll let you know if anything change.

on 5-22-06 I went in and had my HCG level taken and it was at 284. I went back in today and had another taken and it had went down to 124, so the DR gave me 2 shots of methotrexate (one in each thigh) With my last miscarriage in 0ct 2005, I miscarried onmy own and didnt have to have any shots or anything, but I am wondering if it will be about the same this time around with having the shots?

I have had my tubes tied for 4 years now, so I dont know if my outcome would be any different than others or not.



What all do you need to avoid after having these shots?
The DR didnt tell me to avoid ANYTHING at all...Just to go back Sat and have another HCG test done and then again Next Tues.

As you can tell, we ARENT TTC as I have my tubes tied, it had just happened.

I am going in next month and having them re-tied again though, so I dont have to go through the pain of getting pregnant and not being able to have it.
