WORRIED ABOUT GETTING PREGNANT

WORRIED ABOUT GETTING PREGNANT

My husband and i are trying to get pregnat for about a year and a half, before 2 months and sixteen days he had a varicosele surgery, since we were told that this is why he had low motility 35%,and low sperm count 19000000.he is now taking speman and vitamins to enhance his motility and sperm count it been three months on medications.
as for me i have inverted uterus, but everything else is normal.
My questions are:
1- after the surgery when can he has his sperm checked?
2-can we still have a baby?
and what should we do?

thank you so much for your help

those questions are for your doctor. Did he leave a pamphlet or a number to call?

I have posted about this before, you might want to scroll back a few weeks. My DH had the same surgery about a month ago and is also taking special vitamins. As for getting PG naturally, there are no guarantees. The surgery is only 30-50% effective at best. We are going to do intrauterine insemination this month if I am not PG. MY Dh semen analysis was similar to yours, which would be adequate for IUI. Basically they out the best sperm in your uterus at the time of O and even if it doesn't swim very well you still have a chance. So I am hopeful about the surgery but am not holding my breath. I suggest you contact a RE in your area to discuss more options. Your DH's urologist should have explained that the surgery does not always do the trick . Having said that we still felt it was worth a try but went into it knowing that we would prob. be pursuing other avenues as well to get PG. If you have any other questions please ask. Good Luck!

Dear sallie05
i am so glad to talk about this issue since it has been troubling me for a while.
i wish you all the best and hope to hear the good news soon.
i have a doctor appointment after 2 days and we will see the possibilities we have,i know getting pregnant naturally might be very difficult so we might try IUI or ICIS in which they take one sperm and fertelize the egg.
i have read a lot and asked so many doctors but its good to share someone who is in the same situation.
best wishes
