Wanting to get pregnant after a D&C? We all need comfort.

I've been seeing a lot of these forums run on for years where the ladies just keep in touch, encouraging the other women trying to get through this.

I just had a miscarriage(m/c) and a suction D&C last week. I am still spotting, eagerly waiting to try again..and still on 'convalescent' leave from work. I am ready to get through this all, get pregnant again when God says its the right time..and make the best out of this situation.

Anybody agree or in the same position?

Sorry for your loss. I too had a miscarriage on 16th june and a d&c suction on 7th july. I too am eager to conceive again and trying. I stopped bleeding 3days after my d&c. X

Just 3 days after? LUCKY. I didnt bleed at all, except the day of the surgery. THEN, like a week later(exactly...) I started bleeding/spotting. My doc said that was ok, and that I could spot all the way through till my first cycle.

I can't wait to try and conceive again..Its on my mind all the time..and I keep thinking about how disappointed I will be if I dont get preggo soon.

Another thing that is sort've comforting--I've had several of my friends come out and say, "Oh yeah, I've had several miscarriages before I had my kids" or.."Its ok, a LOT of women misscarry their first child."

Thats crazy to me.

I'm sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage and D&C on May 20th and I am still waiting for my period to start so we can TTC again. It was very hard, still is some days. I now just want AF to arrive so we can move on! Good luck to you and SSBD!

Hey, so you are stiilll waiting and..its been like..almost 2 months? I thought AF was supposed to arrive within 4-6 weeks. Have you called your doc yet to see why you havent started yet?

Am 22. A wed before my d&c i had blood work done which showed my hcg level was 5. After i stopped bleeding after the d&c my partner and i have been trying to conceive again. Am using the day of my d&c as the 1st day of my period n hoping to ovulate on time. Once your body ie hcg return to below 6 you can ovulate. Hopefuly that is the case for me as am far to impatient to wait and my doc said its fine to TTC as long as i feel ready to. X

Hey ladies. Got my AF today 12days after my d&c. Can this be right? I was told it could be 2weeks before i get my AF but that means am 2days early. Abit worried now. :(

Hey!! ok, so I was reading all of your posts and it seems like you were lucky to have such low hCg levels before you had your D&C.

How far along were you when you found out you miscarried and when did the baby stop growing?

Sorry, I am just so intrigued by all of this and..these message boards have actually helped me learn a lot. Im pretty sure after reading a few of these, its def ok to have AF come 2 weeks after your D&C. Even if it was just 2 days early you should be fine. PLUS, Im pretty sure thats a good thing..the earlier that AF comes, the sooner you have the chance to concieve (conceive).

My doc told me just to wait for my period before I TTC and ..it seems like that is a good idea. I have just heard some people waiting 2 months for AF. Screw that. haha...waiting 2 months for the chance just to concieve (conceive) again?! Wahaaa? That sounds like...not fun. ;) lol

I am 21 by the way, which means we are close in age. Whew its good to meet somebody cloes in age on here.

My hcg levels were so low before the d&c because it was nearly 3 weeks since i miscarried. My miscarriage wasn't confirmed until 2weeks after i lost the baby and i had the d&c the following week. I was 4 weeks 1 days when i miscarried. I only knew i was preg for a week :( was also at the a+e the day before with pains and was sent home after bloods and scan showed everything was fine. Am glad i've met someone who's in the same situation as me :) Am abit worried now tho as i dont know when i ovulated and am also showing signs of ovulation now ie cervic position and mucas so i'm very confused at the moment. Just want to be preg again! How you feeling? Any signs of AF? X
