I gained 14 lbs. already and I am only 15 1/2 weeks pregnant. The midwife that I saw yesterday yelled at me. I do not feel like I am overeatingEating disorders - resources and I am not eating alot of junk food. Has anyone else experienced this much of a weight gain at 15 weeks??
My dr. didn't yell at me, but I did feel that I was being reprimanded like a bad child for my weight gain. Are you over weight? If so, it would be more harmful to gain unnecessary weight.....In addition, if you don't feel good about this womanWomen's way, get rid of her now! There is NOTHING worse than a drill sargeant labor and deliveryC-section Delivery presentations Infant care following delivery nurse!
I started at 150 lbs. I am 5'6". I don't think I look overweight but she really upset me because I have always struggled to stay at a normalNormal saline flush weight.
I PERSONALLY GAINED 12LBS IN THE FIRST 2 MONTHS, AND THEN ENDED UP LOSING IT, NOW IM ONLY 2LBS OVER WHAT I WAS BEFORE PG.....LET YOUR BODY DO WHAT IT NEEDS TO....MY MOTHER GAINED ALMOST ALL OF HER BABY WEIGHT IN HER FIRST TRIMESTER...FOR SOMEONE TO YELL AT YOU IS A LITTLE IRRITATING, BUT IF YOURE DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT AND EATING WHEN YOU FEEL HUNGRY IT CAN'T BE WRONG.....STAY STRONG! EVERYTHING WILL TURN OUT GREAT! GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
With my first pregnancy I had gained 15 pounds by 17 weeks and topped off at 60 pounds. I am currently 16 weeks and have gained 6 pounds. I keep trying to be good but then I eat a whole container of Lays BBQ chips.
I find the more I stress about it the more hungry I get.
would any of you ladies know about not gaining weight i'm 23 weeks and before i got PG i was 141 and i went down to 133 and now i'm at 138 has moved from there for about 6weeks ?? my doctor said she is not worried but to take extra vitiams. I eat I don't know what i'm doing wrong.
thanks
I with you girlfirend. I struggle to keep at 135 for years. I have hypothroidism too, which doesn't help. I think that is some of the weight gain because it has gotten worse. Everyone is different. I'm glad I'm not the only one gaining. I jog a little too and walk. Funny the days I walk the next day I weight more, if I skip a day, I weight less. One day I was 147 and the next 144. Could be water weight. I worry about gaining to much.
My last appt I was 24 weeks and I was up 20 pounds. My doctor reprimanded me too even though I was in the weight range I was supposed to be in from everything I've read. Even though it was the high end. Maybe it was partially due to the fact that that month I gained 8 pounds instead of 4 like I was supposed to. But this month I've gained 3.5 pounds so I'm not worried about it. It's normal to have a month where you gain a lot and not much the next. As long as your eating pretty healthy don't worry about it.
I've gained almost 25 pounds and I'm only 27 weeks. It really sucks because with this pregnancy I have been careful about what I eat and the weight is still piling on like in my first pregnancy (I gained 65 pounds) Sometimes your body decides to get fat and you don't have complete control over it.
I gained 9lbs in my first 2 months and I didn't think I was overeating or anything like that! There were also months later on that I only gained 1 lb. so I think it evens out in the end as long as you are careful not to go CRAZY while eating for 2!!!!!
I have gained 25 pounds total and I am 32 weeks. I am also 5'6". My doc is also giving me a hard time...screw em..you are doing great. Just eat healthy, stay hydrated, an excersize a little and you will do just fine!!]
