Well, #8 is on the way!!!!!

WOW I can't believe it happened so soon. It took me 15 MONTHS to get pregnant with the one I miscarried. And then 4 more to get pregnant with Jameson. So I thought we better start trying, seeing as how I am getting mighty close to 40, and I thought it would take us a long time to achieve pregnancy.
But second try---and it has happened!!!! I didn't think I was pregnant, because last Saturday, I had some very light pink on the t.p twice. That is always how my period starts---a little warning of pink, and then it starts later that day. But when it hadn't started as of last night....and my boobs were feeling tender and full, I thought oh boy...I think I know whats going on.:)

I took a test and it turned postive like immediately!!! I just sat there chuckling to myself on the toilet. ha ha ha

My husband was so sweet. I went and put the test in front of him at his desk. It took a second to register and then he grabbed me and hugged me hard and said, "WOW I can't believe it! 8 kids! I'm so happy!"   He is the best daddy in the world. He LOVES his kids and loves having a big family.

My due date according to online calculators is June 22. So I am 4 weeks, 3 days. The new baby and Jameson will be 21 months apart----PERFECT little playmates, which is JUST what I wanted. (my next child above Jameson is 9---so I really wanted one more baby to be "little" with Jameson. I didn't want him growing up without a close sibling.

We aren't going to tell anyone yet....too scared after my miscarriage in 2006. It is so hard not to tell the kids, but I feel it is best to wait a while.

But I wanted to tell all my awesome ladies on here!!!!!!

Thanks ladies!! You are all so sweet! Thanks for being happy for me. I know I am crazy, but I just LOVE having a big family!!! I LOVE being pregnant... I love babies and kids...I love it ALL. Even teenagers. lol

But this is IT FOR SURE!!! I know this will be the last. I will be 39 when this baby is born and do not want to have one after 40. Also, I feel that it is important to have enough of me to go around, and know that 8 is my limit.
I cannot imagine how people with 12, 14, 18 even do it. It seems to me you couldn't possibly have a personal, close relationship with each one. It takes all I have to do this with 7!! But who knows, maybe those with that many do it just fine.

It is just important to me that my kids know, that I know their favorite food, favorite color, favorite treat--etc. That I know them each personally and deeply. That they don't just feel like one of the "herd" lol and that I have time with each of them every single day.

Congrats on #8 Jenny. That is awesome! I'm not sure if there will even be a #6 for us, but you are an inspiration! This baby is blessed to be born into such a large, warm, loving family.

WOW~ People think I'm crazy because I want 4! LOL I'm on #3 right now, it took us 5 yrs to get this one so if I make it to 4 it will be a blessing! Congrats to you~ I think big families are wonderful, heck people used to do it all the time! My mom was one of 9! LOL I had to laugh when you put "even teenagers" my oldest is 14 and he is giving me so much greif right now. AUGHH

NewMommy----one of my first friends on here!! Yep---pregnant again together!! I am hoping for a girl too! But a boy will be nice too, cuz he can be best buds with Jameson, and I wont have to buy any more baby clothes! But I really want a girl....my girls are just my best friends and I want another! My boys are wonderful too, but its just different between a mom and daughter.:)

Kiki----I am the oldest of 9, so I guess it just came naturally to me. I LOVED having all my siblings and being second mommy to them.

i love being pg too, i just fear my next one will come earlier than my first two!  i think you said it well that you want to know everything about each child.  so many moms i have heard dont know. that is very sad.  my son is always amazed how well i know him.  your family seems to be the family you would see on the cover of a magazine.  the article would be how a family stays together and with love and respect.  you see so many kids just running around its sad.  i know i couldnt handle that, but coming from a family with just two kids i have no clue lol.  cant wait to see pics of the new addition.  

stupid question but is it still just as amazing as the previous pg's?  i mean nothing is like your first, but when it comes to #8 are you still as amazed?  man i miss being pg....

Awww Dana you are so nice!! Thank you! Yeah I think it makes the kids feel good when they know that I KNOW them. When I bring them their favorite goodie, or make their favorite dinner one night and they KNOW I made it cuz THEY love it.
Thats so great you know your son well---it truly is a self-esteem builder. Because they feel special and important when you know them-- and know that everything about them is very important to you. Even the little things.

To answer your pregnancy question, the very night I got my BFP, I told my husband how every single time, it is so precious to me. That the second I see that "positive" I am filled with love and joy for this new little being that is "us".

I think in many ways it is MORE special to me, because the older I get, the more I appreciate my children. The more I realize how quickly time passes and how you need to enjoy every second. As a 20 year old on my first pregnancy, I was excited---yes---but I had no clue of all that I know now as a 38 year old pregnant mommy.
So I actually would have to say it is MORE special to me now.

Well thanks again for your nice comments. You are such a good mommy. I have told you before, but I just LOVE to read things you write, because you can just FEEL that love and bond you and Addison have. It is so sweet.
