What are your babies eating

by toyml99, May 30, 2007 12:00AM
My dd is 10 months old now and again I am worried about what and how much she is eating.  She was taking five 6oz bottles a day.  Now we are down to three or four.  She is eating some baby food and some table food.  The doctor said there was no difference in table food then the stage 3's and table food is alot tastier.  So I have started feeding her only when she is hungry not on her schedule.  Our schedules have changed for the summer so her schedule is messed up anyways.  So what are other babies around her age eating and how much formula or milk are they on.  Thank you in advance.  Also any luck with the sippie cups.  My dd will play with hers but will not drink from it.  Any tips there would be helpful too.  Thank you all!

You can tell if your child is getting enough food by how much she weighs in relation to other kids her age.  What did her doctor said about this?

Oops -- what did her doctor "say" about this?  :)

My baby is only 8 mos and still eating stage 2 foods and I'm stil BFing her but when my older dd was 10 mos- a year she was taking 3 8 oz bottles per day and she was eating a combo of jarred food and finger foods. Some of her favorite finger foods were little pieces of toast with unsweetened jam; tiny cubes of fruit, veggies & cheese; cheerios; shredded chicken; small pieces of veggie burgers & chicken fingers. She also loved full fat plain yogurt. Hope this helps.

My dd is in the 80th percentile for weight and 100th percentile for height.  She is in no way over or underwieght.  She is well proportioned.  I guess I just wanted to make sure it was ok to feed her on demand.  When she wants to eat not when I want her to eat.

My dd is 8 months and gets 8oz bottle/stage 2 fruit for breakfast, 8oz bottle/stage 2 veggi for lunch and dinner is 8oz bottle w/veggi. If I feel she needs a snack she gets another fruit. Sometimes if her schedule is messed up she will get a 4oz bottle here and there. She doesn't eat table food and has no teeth.
