What do you honestly think of DD name we picked?

Hi ladies. Just wanted to throw the name that we came up with for DD out there and see what you all thought of it.

Brooklynn Nichol. (pronouced Nicole)

My sister passed away in 1996 in a car accident and her name was Nichol so I wanted to have Nichol as a middle name. DH came up with Brooklynn for a first name. We were going to go with Brooke Lynn Nichol and just have 2 middle names but decided against it, so needless to say we have Brooklynn Nichol. I like the spelling of Brooklynn with 2 N's at the end of the name. What do you ladies think of her name honestly. It won't change anything for us, but I value your opinions and thought I would ask. Let me know.

My neighbor has tripletts and one of them is Brooklyn spelled this way but I LOVE the name!

It's a beautiful name. She may have to spell it out for people or get used to people spelling it wrong. My sister's name is Alyssa and people are always getting it wrong. But of course the only thing that matters is that you love the name.  :)

I love the Brooklynn part, but am not so excited about the Nichol part.  I can forsee her future in school with people calling her "Nickle" if they get wind of her middle name.

I think I would have separated the Brooke and the Lynn, so she won't get teasing about the name of the place in New York.  But kids will tease about whatever they want to, you can't really stop that.  I knew a Brooke Lynn when I was growing up and thought it was pretty.

Its funny that you say that because in high school alot of my sister's friends called her Nickel. I even did it. I am just hoping with having Nichol as a middle name she won't get picked on as much. We will see though. LOL! I didn't even think about the Nickel thing until you mentioned it in here. I was going to go ahead and spell it Nicole but I really wanted it to be exactly like my sisters name. We will see what happens. Hopefully Brooklynn won't tell me she hates her name when she gets older. hahahahaha

My daughter's middle name is Nicole and no one ever made fun of it. A lot of people don't even know your middle name unless you tell them. Even then, when kids knew her middle name, she still never got teased. Hope this helps.
