What is in my prescription prenatal vitamin?

by strawberryscoop, Mar 28, 2007 12:00AM
My doctor wrote a prescription for a prenatal vitamin and specified 1mg folate.

The pills I got are yellow ovals and have "A 178" stamped in red on them.

The bottle says, "PRENATAL PLUS W/27 MG IRON AMP"

How do I know what else it has in it.  27 mg Iron is pretty clear.  But they were busy at the pharmacy - how do I know they didn't forget the folate?   Also, I would just like to know what OTHER vitamins are in there so I don't overdo any with extra supplements.

THANKS!
