My first ultrasound my babies heartbeat was 172 at 9 weeks and 3 days, then my second ultrasound the babies heartbeat was 150 at 13 weeks, then I had to have an emergency ultrasound and the baby was not as active and the heartbeat was 141. Then I went yesterday at 14 weeks to my obgyn appt. and she heard the heartbeat and it was 148. So is it to early yet to figure out the sex because of the closeness between the heartbeats to rather it go either way boy or girl? I am overweight and my doctor wants me to wait until im 22 weeks to determine the sex. I want to know though!
it is impossible to determine the gender based on heart rate...my baby's heart rate was pretty high until after 16 weeks when it started to settle around the 140s...im 25 weeks now with a girl...2 years ago i was and the heart rate was in the 150s and it was a boy...i miscarried him at 15 weeks...
my son who is 6 had a high heart rate until about a month before i delivered him so it varies so much....im sorry the wait seems like forever but it will go quickly...i cant believe im just about of the 2nd trimester already :)
