You need to call the lab before they close today and find out what to do.  As I recall,  it's a fasting Glucola test but you need to make sure and follow the directions so it doesn't mess your results.

Good luck with it!

Im confused...accept or expect? You are having a fasting glucose test. Fasting means eat/ drink nothing before the test

The 1 hour glucose test is not fasting but if you fail that one the 3 hour test is a fasting one. I ate breakfast before my one hour and passed with no problems.

I only took the 1 hour test but was told by my doctor to fast for it.  I passed so I never took the 3 hour one.  To the best of my knowledge you are supposed to not having anything to eat or drink for at least 8 hours before the test.
Good luck...

I had to fast for mine too, but was told that since mine was in the afternoon I could eat late morning something light and be fine.  I did eat a salad and failed, had to take the 3 hour test and was perfectly fine.  That was with my son.  I go in on Wed. for this one and am so not looking forward to it.  It's at 3:30 and I have to fast again, I may just hurt someone at work!  My co-worker goes to a different Dr. and said she doesn't have to fast for hers, and only has to drink 1/2 of her bottle, said it was the same at the last Dr. she went to for her other son too.  (She just moved here a few months ago.)  Could be that some Dr.'s do it differently, I would stay away from any sugar at all though especially since the test is early in the morning, don't add any more sugar to your system.  If you go in in the mornging it shouldn't be too bad to put off the coffee till after.  Good luck!
