All three of my children said ma-ma. My oldest was 41/2 months and he looked right at me and said "ma-ma" and he hasn't stop talking since, lol. My second son also said "ma-ma" first and then said "da-da" on his fathers birthday. Then my little girl at 71/2 months said "ma-ma" as well.

Hi, Bye and Kitty were all pretty close to being DS's first. Although, he doesn't ever say kitty anymore, all animals are "Dog"

odd as it was, my oldest daughter's first word was "button".  we were in the doctor's waiting room and she was on my lap playing with the buttons on my shirt, and i kept saying, yes, button, and she looked up and said it right back to me! she was 8 months.

THat's funny, for DS all animals are with a puppy or a cow, depending on their size! He usually doesn't say cow, just a very loud and proud MOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

First word was Da-da, but he uses it for most everything.  Second word that is used almost as much as dada is Shoe...but he doesnt say shoe...he says it with his mouth closed so only the nasally sound of shoe comes out (Knnnneeeeww).  Ahhhh, my son the shoe sales man!
