Whats a good/normal/healthy heart rate for 6w5d?

by kierstynsmommy, Nov 03, 2006 12:00AM
Hey ladies...I was just wondering what all your babies heart rates were in the very beginning and how your pregnancy is going/ended? Last week, they found my babies heart rate of 156bpm and was just wondering if this sounded good and what others where?! Sticky baby dust to all!

Between 120 and 160 is what I have heard.  Possibly could be lower  at that point and still safe because the heart has really just started up at 6w5d.

I found out i was pregnant exactly at 6w 5d and they said heart rate was 128..  and everything is going wonderfully and im now at 18 weeks. Good luck.

Mine was 162 at 7 wks 5days, has been about 156 ever since (latest 15 wks). Apparently it rises in the early weeks then gradually goes down somewhat and levels off.  There are charts on the internet.  Especially low heart rates (under 120) can be a sign of unviable pregnancy (certain chromosomal problems) and especially high heart rates can be indicative of certain other conditions. Under 100 is usually bad news but there are stories of babies who have gone on to recover.

At 6w1d my baby's heartrate was only 118, I got pretty scared, but I'm now 24 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl.
