What's your favorite "summer only" activity?

Mine is going to this waterslide resort place called Cherry Hill. We just got back today.We go every year, and we never want to leave. You can camp there, (we have a trailer) and then the water park is right there. There are also arcades, mini-golf course, batting cages, aero-ball, rock climbing. The waterslides are the most fun ones I've ever been to.Theres a "lazy river" that is just so much fun and so relaxing to just float along in. Jameson loved it.
My kids are just in HEAVEN here. Its like a little city. Theres a little store with candy they like to walk to and buy a treat.They LOVE the arcade and air-hockey.They also have live entertainment on weekends--bands that play.

My favorite is going to the lake, but with jake so young, we haven't gone this summer.. too hot and too much sun for now..

Maybe next summer :)

I would say going to my families old run down cabin on little cedar lake. I also LOVE going to Wisconsin Dells but Noah is still too young for that.

this summer the air conditioner has been my favorite thing to do lol.  with jeff working so much we really havent done much.  i wanted to camp but i refuse to take the kids by myself!

We go Camping with 10+/- other families.  This was the 2nd year for this.  We celebrated our 10th anniversary last year, and we were planning a party (that we didn'thave to clean for...) and we found an awesome campground that could accommodate us!   This year ... friends of ours....loved it so much...decided that we should do it again for THEIR 10TH!!!   It's awesome!  Now, we have decided that this should just be a YEARLY THING that we do.  I highly recommend it to all.  We go to a group site, and set up camp for the weekend.  Some people have trailers, some have tents...but we all have FUN!!  The kids (about 20 of them...) have a BLAST!  Would be more fun if there was a WATERSLIDE nearby though...LOL

we did that group camping growing up and me being the oldest i was the ring leader of the kids haha.  i loved it.  i dont do tents anymore though.  ive gotten over that fun. now i like a hotel on the waterfront with the waves outside my window lol

water slides and rides i was going to go to six flags last week with my sisters oo thank goodness i didnt because im pregnant and that would of been bad and of course swimming i miss living in las vegas i would go to the hotel flamingo everyday with my parents and lil sister and swim it was awesome

I don't do tents anymore either...that's why we got the trailer. It makes camping much more FUN for me!  Believe me, I'd rather be at the spa having a massage and a facial and then sauntering back to my hotel room....however, kids do LOVE to camp....
We have done a fair bit of travelling and have stayed at various hotels, but, the best SUMMER family vacation by far has been this camping weekend....(BESIDES our trips to DisneyWorld,) But that's not something we do every weekend in the summer.  That gets very pricey!  
I love to see my kids having the greatest time with their friends...and let's face it, eveyone can afford to go camping...it's pretty cheap!

I hear you!! For 13 years I camped in a tent. And we LOVE to camp so we go a lot. Finally like 6 years ago, we got a trailer and it is SO MUCH more fun to camp now! A sink with running water to do the dishes. A stove, instead of burning everything in a dutch oven on the fire. lol A fridge, instead of stressing that the ice is gonna last all 4 days!  A toilet, instead of running to the outhouse at 2:00 a.m. A BED instead of rocks and twigs under my body. A TUB to bathe my filthy baby before bed.I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (can you tell??) ha ha ha lol

yes....never thought I would even camp again....years ago, all those things that you mentioned were the reason why I hated camping sooooo much!  Mainly the LEAKING TENT!!!!  AGGGGHHHHH!!!    
But, now...it's not so bad...heck there's even a microwave...ok ok ok ...so it's not roughing it really, but it's damn close and the kids LOVE IT!!!!  Toilet is a definite must!!!  ours has an outdoor shower too...so when the kids are really dirty, they can't even come inside until they are rinsed off enough to have a real shower!!!
