When did breast tenderness ease up

by Harley-girl, Jun 21, 2006 12:00AM
Hi all, I am currently 11 weeks 2 days and was wondering when those who are preggers noticed that their breast pain eased up a little bit.  I heard that once you near the second trimester it does start to ease up a bit. Is this true??? I am so tired of being sore. :)

Mine stopped bothering me at about 12 weeks.  They get a little bit tender every once in a while, but nothing like in the beginning!

I take it your a big breasted women already!Lol..:) Your DH will love the increase in size, it just sucks that they probely will hurt! My BBS didn't grow at all during my pregnany but once my son was here, OUCH, I looked like I had breast implants, my DH loved it! My breast size is a small B34. I'm petite anyways!

Sorry darlin'. I take it you are well endowed???  I am up to a large C cup now. I cannot even get used to these things yet. :)

by luv_babies, Jun 21, 2006 12:00AM
Yes I am well endowed. All the girls in my family are, I wear the same size bra as my mom (38DD) I'm not what you would call "petite"! I hope they don't get much bigger! I'm sure DH would rather they stay the same, than get bigger and hear me complain about how sore/tender they are! ;) I suppose I should wait and worry about after I actually get pregnant (if that ever happens)! Thanks guys!

Sorry to bust in on your question, but I have one that is along these lines...If a woman has larger breasts, do they get a lot bigger during pregnancy?

Jifnif/Halrey-girl: Wow a whole cup size, and jifnif, B to a D! Your bodies aren't messing around! ;)

I feel your pain, girl.  I'm well endowed, I don't know why- no one else in my family is.  Mine haven't gotten that much bigger, thankfully.  My bras are fitting a little bit snugger, but I haven't had to go buy new ones yet.  I've read that it's when your milk comes in that you better watch out.  They can go up 1-2 cup sizes then!  I can't even imagine trying to nurse this thing with a baseball sized head using grapefruit sized breasts!

My soreness stopped about the beginning of the second trimester (I'm 21 weeks now).  I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for bras while preggers.  I went from a B to D and am feeling huge all over.  When I first got to a D a couple months ago, I went out to Victoria Secrets and bought the IPEX b/c I LOVED it when I was my usual B cup.  It's got underwire though and being this big and possibly growing more, I wanted to find a less expensive bra to move into.  I'm pretty much going between 2 bras right now.

Anyway, I'm willing to pay more if I have to for comfort (maybe I'll try the wireless IPEX), but I wondered if anyone actually went out and bought maternity bras and what they are like.  Also, when do people move into nursing bras??  Is that just for after the baby is born for when you're nursing, or is it something I should be looking for now that I'll also be able to use.

Any ideas/ suggestions?
Thanks.

yes i bought maternity bras im' currently 11w2d and i was already a size 38d now i'm wearing maternity bras that are 40e and 40f the maternity bras that i have are like nursing bras as well, they have the little clip that you can unclip and your breast does a peek a boo.  there actually very comfortable especially since mine don't contain any underwire(i hate underwire) i hope this helps

I was a 32DD before I got pg with my daghter. I was a G by 7 weeks, and an H + when I was nursing. Try finding those in a 32 band size! They'd look at me like I was from Mars when I asked in the bra stores in the mall. I had to order them online, and had a lot of trouble with fit.

I feel for your friend. I am also 4'10" with jumbo boobs. If my husband didn't love them so much, I'd have them taken down to a C.

Thanks for your response. I will definitely look into maternity bras.  Did you have to go to a special maternity store, or were you able to find them in department stores? Just curious.  I haven't really done any looking thus far for them so  was hoping to not have to look forever.

Thanks again.

With my daughter my bbs went from a D to a DD and remained a DD even throughout my 8 months of nursing. Thankfully for me (not for DH though who loves big boobies!) my bbs have stayed a DD with this pregnancy. However, the pain in the 1st trimester was insane- causing me to wince every time I took my bra off at night. The pain is more bearable now at 22 weeks but it's definitely still there.
