I dont remember that, but i do remember the nurses telling me that if the baby has more "floor"time its likely to happen sooner.

The twins I watch are just now starting and they are about 4 months.

(((thinking back to 6 years ago))))

I believe it's usually anywhere from 4-6 months. =)

Just wondering..... My DD is only 12days old and she can almost get completely on her side already...... I knew it was too early for her to be doing this. I can't walk away from her at all.

My little one rolled over his first week home from the hospital but hasn't done it again.  He does roll up on his side.  He is so strong, active and alert.  He doesn't seem like a newborn.  That is part of my problem....he doesn't want to sleep.  Everyone comments on how bright eyed and alert he is and how he seems older.

Nadezdha rolled over at 2 weeks and even now she'll keep doing it.  Mostly front to back but once she's done the back to front (this morning).  Not sure if she just gets that mad or what.  I know it isn't purposeful.

Mine laid on their sides.  It's kinda early, but more often at this stage it's more of a surprise and not intentional.  Cars didn't roll till almost 5 months, but he was so sick and I never put him down.  Cam rolled by 6 weeks.  Each kid is different.  Cam has it perfected and rolls across the room like crazy, no need to crawl for him, he even prefers it to his little inch worm crawl.

my dd rolled up on her side from about 3 weeks, and started rolling back to front about 4 months.

I think my daughter was about 3 mos old when she rolled over. I think i wouldnt be worried until your baby was 5 mos and still not rolling over

Brody has been rolling over during his tummy time for a few weeks now. He is 11 weeks and was 5 weeks early. It depends on the child. He still can't really hold his head up very well so he gets mad and rolls over (:
