When does morning sickness start

by Renogirl, Jun 24, 2007 12:00AM
During our first pregnancy - there was NO morning sickness at all - when we went in for our second ultrasound, and told the doctor, the look on his face told us instantly there was a problem.  We lost the baby.  Now we are pregnant again and I am being paranoid about everything!  Out of curiousity, when did the ladies in this forum start experiencing morning sickness?

i am 30 weeks pregnant and never once got sick.  i never even felt sick.  i barely had any symptoms at all. i had a tiny bit of breast tenderness, less than right before my period, and constipation about 7 weeks in.  some people that i talked to said that they didnt start getting sick until about 9 weeks.  (now watch i'll be ill for the last 10 weeks)

Hi i know how you feel i went through the same thing only a few months ago, i got a little morning sickness at 8 weeks but lost the baby at 9. I am now 51/2 week and super paranoid. I have just started getting bouts of morning sickness but everyone is different i know of women who luckly didn't have it at all and went on to full term to have a happy healthy bub. In some women the sex of the baby seems to have an effect on the serverity of morning sickness. My sister had a girl and with her she was very sick her second was a boy and she felt compleatly different, only very mild sickness. Mybe a chat with your doctor to ease your mind may help. Good luck i hope everything goes well.

First off Im sorry about your previous loss. Secondly, I started to get sick around 7 weeks. but everyone is different. Some women dont get it at all. best of luck to you and baby!!!

Just worried that if there is no morning sickness the second time around - the results will be the same as the first time

I know its scary. But just stay positive with this one, even though its hard. Good luck and I will keep you in my prayers.

I started getting sick around 6 weeks and it was full blown by 7 1/2 weeks. Don't worry if you aren't sick though, 2 of my cousins and my friend never had a sick day and there babys are all healthy.

I had no morning sickness with my pregnancy, which included a miscarriage (a vanished twin) and a very healthy baby.  My mother never had one day of morning sickness and she had five daughters.  So no matter what the doctor's face looked like, lack of morning sickness doesn't mean a pregnancy is failing.  Good luck!!!

I have had 3 pregnancies: 2 daughters and one m/c and I only experienced morning sickness with the baby that I m/c so go figure!
