When does postpartum hair loss start?

My son is 7 months - but when he was about 5 months is when my hair started falling out. I know postpartum hair loss is normal...but it seems like it starts earlier than mine did for most people. Has anyone else had their hair start falling out at around 5 months or later? It's still falling out in clumps...but I know that it can fall out for 3 months or so.
I have had my thyroid checked, and am "battling" having further testing - since my TSH number looked OK they say I'm fine, but I've read there's more to it than just that.
Anyway - just curious if hair loss starting at 5 months still seems plausible. It's so unsettling to have clumps coming out!!!
