When is a good time to start packing for hospital?

Hi all. I am 31 weeks today and I was just wondering when would be a good time to start getting my hospital bag together? And what should I pack in there? Any advice on that? Just want to be prepared because my dh tends to start freaking out in emergencies ya know. Thanks!

I am 25 wks and my doctor told me yesterday to go ahead adn register and pack my bags!!!  I do not know though, I think they are worried that I will go into premature labor because he is already so large and I have had 3 c-sections and they said my uterus is kinda weak!!

It's funny you should ask this, as I am wondering the same thing. Just yesterday I told my dh that we needed to get our "birth plan" in order, and that I needed figure out what I'll need to pack for the hospital.

I said "What's the first thing you'd do if I told you my water had just broken?"

He looked at me very seriously and said "Well, the first thing I'd do is **** my pants, then, after a quick change I'd put your bag in the car, fumble with the car keys until I get the right one to start it, and get to the hospital immediately. I'd probably be about halfway there when I realize I left you at home...in labor."  LOL

I REALLY need to get things in order quickly, or I am going to be in BIG trouble! And I'm only 26 weeks! Haha!
