When to move baby from Bassinett to crib in room by self

When to move baby from Bassinett to crib in room by self

My DD is 3 months and is 15LBS!  She is outgrowing the portable crib she sleeps in next to me.  Thank God her colic is going away and she now sleeps from 11-5AM most of the time.  Is it time to move her to her crib in her own room? The problem is she sleeps in her carseat in the bassinette.  She has problems with digesting her food and always cries when I lie her down even with a wedge underneath her.  She is outgrowing everything and am wondering what to do.  Not to mention sleeping in the carseat cannot be that good for her either.

mine has been in her crib since she was about two months old when she started sleeping through the night.  I didn't have a bassinett I had a cradle and she would tip in it when she moved to one side or the other so I had no choice.  I know some people just put the carseat in the crib.

DS was into his crib in his room at around 4 weeks.  He was a grunty sleeper so it was better to move him there and have me able to get some better quality sleep.

I had to move my son out of his bassinet by the time he was 4 weeks old. He wasn't really a night time eater. I would make him a bottle and he would eat not even 1/2 an ounce and be back to sleep. We moved him into his crib and when it got to the point to where he wasn't eating at all at night, we started letting him have the pacifier and by 4 months he was sleeping all the way through the night. We were lucky with the colic. He had it bad for the first 3 1/2 months, but he was done by 9 - 9:30p. There were only two times when he kept one of us up until Midnight.

Leaving a baby asleep in a car seat 'may cut off breathing'

Also, it's not recommended leaving babies in their portable play n pack bassinets beyond 2 months old, because their mattresses are too thin and don't provide enough back support.

I think safety issues are always the most important ones to consider!

My dd has been in the crib since 2 mos.  I wouldn't say that she's been sleeping through the night since she's very colicky but she was not happy in the bassinet so we had no choice but to move her to the crib.

I was so paranoid about SIDS I kept my DD in my room (bassinette) for almost 6 months.
