I really should know the answer to this as I've been pregnant and nursed my daughter, but I just don't remember how much my breast size increased throughout pregnancy. I am 17 weeks and need new bras. I've already increased well over a cup size, almost two, and can't imagine that these suckers can get much bigger untill my milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal comes in. I just don't want to spend $$$ on bras if they won't work in a month ot two. I know it varies from person to person but what do you gals think?
I totally hear you. My regularRegular insulin bras hurt, so I bought one size bigger, then finally desperation drove me to the maternity shop, where I bought bras one size larger in the band (from a 34 to a 36) and two sizes larger in the cup. And I'm still using ONE of those now (have now been breastfeedingBreast-feeding tips Breastfeeding Breastfeeding - resources 5 1/2 months) but right after the baby was born I could have used something one cup size larger even than those. (And in the one I'm using now that I bought then, I'm sort of spilling over.) My recommendation is to go to the bra department at Target or somewhere else not so expensive, and get one or two about a band size larger than pre-pregnancy and two cup sizes or three larger than pre-pregnancy, with wider straps so they don't dig in. Then only when you actually need nursing bras (i.e., after the baby's born), go spend the bucks at Motherhood or similar.
