When will the bleeding and cramping stop?

I miscarried beginning Friday night and the worst of it was over by Sunday afternoon....but today is Tuesday and I still have cramps and am still bleeding. How long can I look forward to this? Anyone have a range for me?  Thanks!

It depends on how far along you were.  I'm so sorry you are going through this...I had 3 m/c this year and it's horrible.

The most painful thing for a mother.

My first 1 was natural...started bleeding on a Sunday night...then by Monday the cramping kicked in....bad, felt like contractions again.  The cramps and bleeding only lasted 3-4 days....My 2nd natural m/c the cramping started days before the bleeding.  I was cramping about 10 days long...awful, the bleeding lasted only 6 days.  July 7th-13th...Then I got my AF on Aug 2nd.

The 2 natural m/c I was only 5.5-6 weeks

Conceived again on Aug 19th and m/c again...This time the baby needed to be taken out by d&e.  Only bled and cramped for 2 days after that and I was 8.5 weeeks.  

I think the natural m/c takes longer and is a little more painful.

I was 8.5 wks - and so far sounds like your first experience...so I"ll hope it ends any day now.  I'm VERY sorry for your bad times too.  Thank you for posting - it helps just to have an idea of what MIGHT happen - beats not having any idea at all.

I had a d&c which from what I heard is a bit different than natural m/c but I had some bleeding and cramping for about 5 days.  I'm sorry you have to go through this.

I have had two miscarriages, one the bleeding lasted 10 days and the second (1.5 weeks ago) it lasted 5.  I had no pain with the first but had excruciating cramps for all five days with the second.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  I hope you start to feel better soon.  Expect to be tired for a couple of weeks.

HI. I'm going through a m/c right now due to twin blighted ovums. I am sorry for your loss. I started spotting on Wed (last week). Bled heavily until Sunday at 2PM when I passed a huge clot (Yes I caught it in my hand!). It has been horrible. I sent that for pathology tests to the dr. because even though this happened only once to me, I wanna know my chances of it occuring again because I won't even try. Now I went in to the dr yesterday. He said I still didn't pass all of it. So last night I got a big 10 min cramp and passed a large piece of tissue. I myself don't know if this is it because I am still bleeding. He gave me some cramping medicine to bring it down, but I haven't had much cramps since I started taking it. Plus, he gave me antibiotics in case of infection. I guess everyone is different, because I'll know tomorrow if that was it or if I will need a d&c. My dr did tell me though that when you pass everything, the bleeding should look either lighter in color, or lessen drastically. If you should feel faint or bent over in pain, call your dr asap. Keeping you in prayers.

Thanks!  I think it is pretty contagious, seems like it's spreading through the crowd here, hope your time comes soon.  Sorry to hear about your m/c.  Back to back had to be hard, I know I was a wreck with this one even after the u/s.  I still get nervous before my appts.  Good luck!!!

I think maybe you should see a Dr. Mine told me that if the cramping didn't stop after you had passed the main tissue that there may be complications. Also keep an eye on the smell. If it starts to smell funny then you may have some tissue left over and get an infection. This is what happened to me. Not trying to scare you just give you an idea of the possibilities. Hope all is well soon.

I'm sorry to hear about your m/c.  I m/c in June at 11 weeks(blighted ovum) and bled pretty heavy for a good 10 days, but kept bleeding for 2 weeks total.  I had really bad cramping even a few days after it all passed and for the first week after felt really bad, intense cramping.  I was pretty wiped out too for a few weks after.  I got my af the end of June (was really heavy, like the m/c) and then got pregnant right after.  I am now 17 weeks 5 days and little one is doing well.  I hope you feel better soon.

I started to miscarry on a Tuesday with bleeding less than a regular period.  I had a D&C on a Friday and I was still spotting a little by the next Tuesday.  I never had heavy bleeding.
