by kris123, May 17, 2007 12:00AM
Ok, I went to the dr today 34w3d and measuring 35w and I picked up another 6pounds in three weeks.  That make a total of 51pounds and I walk every damn day :-)  Just want to make myself feel better - anyone else with me in the weight gain range?

Hi

I gained 56 pounds plus with dd and 42 pounds with ds am currently trying for another baby and hopefully plan to only gain 28 pound this time this time, but who can say! If you are being as healthy as poss then there isn't alot you can do really just enjoy the rest of the pregnancy the weight will fall off especially if you breastfeed when baby is born!

i think as long as you eat somewhat healthy (not choclate cake every day) you'll be just fine. if you are not excessively overeating - than you are gaining what the baby needs you to gain.

don't worry - just enjoy the rest of the time, as hard as that may be sometimes....

No I eat pretty much healthy stuff but I do eat my far share of ice cream every now and then :-)  I have been eating at night but that is when I eat the bad stuff.  I have tried not to eat at night but I end up so hungry in the morning.

I'm only 21 weeks, but i've gained 30 lbs if that makes you feel better. I never have morning sickness, so I eat from day 1.

You know my story - 33w6d and no idea what I now weigh!  Last week, I had gained 39lbs-OMG!  So, I guarantee I'm up to 45 by my next appt.  My OB suggested cutting my carbs simply to make the losing of the weight post pg easier.  I'm trying, but I guarantee it's doing no good.  I eat constantly, because I'm hungry constantly - and I rarely each bad stuff - just the carbs have increased.  I am with you, girlie!

I'm 37 weeks and that far I've gained a total of 44 lb. and I have beautiful strech-marks all over my butt:) I hope that makes you feel better. I was doing fine at the begining, I think I gained all that weight just recently, probably in the last 2-3 months. I feel so helpless about it, because I can barely walk let alone exersice and I'm hungry ALL THE TIME!!! I mostly eat yogurt, fruits, veggies, salads and meat cooked in the oven, I barely ever eat outside and I'm still gaining weight! I'm planning on breastfeeding, so hopefully that will help me to loose the extra weight (by the way it's all on my butt!!!)

Yea we dont all just gain the recommended 25-30 lbs.  I wish I would have then I would be back to normal by now but the weight just sticks to me like glue!!  LOL!  Oh well what can you do.  Its all worth it in the end tho when you look at your baby for the 1st time!!!

I am bigger everywhere.  I am sure i will not get into my size six jeans when I come home fromt he hospital :-)  When I had my daughter at 17 I only gained 25p and it was all gone when I got home from the hospital and I didn't breastfeed but I plan to with this one and I hope I get the hang of it and it doesn't hurt because my nipples are so sore now

Hey how are you doing?  I "did" gain almost 40 pounds but since all that stuff was going on I have now lost 15 pounds.  I have been eating all the time since I am on crutches now and dont have anything better to do, but now it seems like I cant get weight back on!  One of my friends though gained 65 pounds if that makes you feel better!  Hope you and the baby are doing good!  Oh yeah and my dear old babies dad decided he is going to live in oregon and not come back here to help be here for his son =(  But the good thing is I was nice to him when he kept calling me and now I have his address so when I have my baby I will be able to start getting child support!!

I gained a lot of weight right away, went to my butt and theighs, I swear.  Then the weight gain was slower, but at my 36 week apt, I had gained 4 lbs in two weeks.  Seriously!!!  I have gained 40 lbs so far and have 4 weeks left.

With my first I gained 65 lbs, with my second I gained 45, so I'm assuming this one, my third, hopefully only 45 lbs, but who knows, I have 4 weeks left!

My dr. has never said anything about myw eight gain, so I'm assuming it's all good.

Glad to hear your doing ok. Are you feeling better emotional maybe a little.  I'm getting a little nervous about having the baby myself.  Glad to hear you were nice to your baby's daddy.  I know it is hard but you got to do what you got to do to know where he is.  Everytime Craig calls me I'm nice so I can get what I can right now - that sucks - I got him to buy a crib but that's about it.  When u take him to court he'll have to come back to your state - what a butthole.  You'll be ok - we both will.

Nep-

If you don't mind me asking did you lose the weight?  My butt is so big as well as my legs  I hit 186

Breastfeeding will def help, I read that you can loose up to 500 calories/day - that will make it so much easier to get rid of the extra weight.. I'd rather have it all over my body, instead of having it all on my butt. Thank God my stomach is big too - it creates some kind of symmetry, you know :)))

With my first, it took longer to loose the weight than expected, but I did loose it all, probably around 6 months.  With my second, I lost the weight in about 3 months.  My goal with this third, since I'm older and definetly more out of shape is, well, still 3 months. LOL.
