Why Do i Continue to Cramp?

by pmom, Aug 19, 2006 12:00AM
OK here's the scoop. I stopped birth control 3 weeks ago. For about the past 4 or 5 days my boobs have been sore, I have been VERY irritable, sometimes sick to my stomach and for the past few days I have been having cramping. Me and my DH have had sex, once using pull out method and once he forsot I wasn't pn the pill anymore and well he forgot to pull out. I don't think I was ovulating but some people have told me you can ovulate immediatly after stopping the pill. So my question is what are my chances that I am pregnant or could it be hormones from stopping the pill? Any advice is helpful, I just keep getting mixed answers and I was hopeing to find someone that this has happened to. My period is not due till the last Tuesday of this month, I think. It could be this coming Tuesday or the last tuesday of the month. I think its the last Tuesday, anyway thanks for the help in advance.

My guess is that it is hormonal from stopping the pill. It can mess you up for awhile.

I would agree with the above poster..it's probably from stopping the pill.  But if it's weighing that heavily on your mind, i would wait a few weeks and take a test.  Just to seetle your mind.  Did you stop the pill b/c you wanted to get pg?

When i stopped being on the pill I had all your symptoms. I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. I called the dr after having them for 3 months (about a 1 week and a half before my dreaded AF). The dr told me that this symptoms were all hormoral and there is nothing I could do. I have been off BC for a year now and the sore boobs have just about gone away but I do get massive PMS a week before and during my AF.

i had terrible symptoms both going on and coming off the pill and the patch. those hormones can really mess with your body.  i think i was ok after 2 cycles.
