With m/c- how long do cramps last before bleeding?

With m/c- how long do cramps last before bleeding?

I am still kinda freaking out bc the dr didnt see my baby on u/s at 6w5d.  I had cramps for three days, it felt like how I felt when I was 7 mo pg and overdid it.  Not too bad just annoying.  Now I cant tell if Im having cramps or body just tired from tensing up?  For those of you who had to suffer through m/c how long did cramps last before bleeding, and were they severe or just annoying like mine?

My bleeding started around the same time as the cramping and the cramps were quite severe.

I'm so sorry you are worrying.  I had 3 m/c last year and all were different.  2 natural, one at 5.5 weeks and one at 6 weeks.

The one at 5.5 weeks...started with bleeding and then severe cramps the next day (hard to even stand up) and by then the bleeding was uncontrollable.

With my 2nd m/c I had severe cramps in the lower abs and back...mostly the back though....IT was horrific especially since I knew in my heart of hearts what was happening.  The bleeding started about 3 days after the cramps.

I don't think that is what you are experiencing....at least I pray it isn't.

Thank you so much for replying, I cant imagine your grief.  But I do feel much better about it.  If anyone did have mild to no cramps with their m/c I would like to hear from them as well.  But I think your comments have made the waiting a bit easier, thanks.

I m/c 11/22 at 7 1/2 weeks.  I had mild cramps throughout the entire pregnancy, they eventually got worse.  I started spotting for a 1 1/2 days, went to the ER then a bunch of blood and even more worse cramps.  Most likely they are normal pregnancy cramps, the uterus will stretch so much.  I think some people just feel more with their body which could be your case. Unless you have bleeding then everything should be okay!  Just try not to stress!!!  I know, almost impossible not to!

I've had 2 m/c's and mine were different. My first one was at 8 wks and I had severe cramping for about a week. First I had brown spotting (before the cramping started), then the bleeding. I could hardly move the cramping was so bad. Then after the m/c, I cramped bad for about 3 more days. And the bleeding was not severe.

I just had the second m/c at 12 wks. I had no pain, then very light spotting on Tuesday. Then that night I felt some cramps, but not severe, then all the sudden I started my m/c and bled continuously. I had to go to the hospital. This all happened on the same day, so very fast. I was at the hospital for 4 hours, then when I got home, I have not really had bad cramps. My bleeding is not bad either.

I had severe low back cramps and then started bleeding within about 20 minutes. The cramps weren't bad once I started bleeding.

I had very bad cramping for two days with only spotty bleeding.  Just when I didn't think the cramps could get worse, they did, and that's when the more intense bleeding with clots being passed started.  But, I never had heavy bleeding, and here, at 1 wk later, the bleeding is still red but tapering off significantly.
