Worried about 3month old weight gain

How many of you remember what your child weight was at 3months?

Well, Hunter will be 3months on 25th and we had him at the dr. today and he is already 16pounds! Im worried that he is too big. At his 2month check up he was only 10-11pounds. We dont over feed him if only eats 6oz every 3-4hours, nights 4-5hr.

Your doctor should have told you what percentile of height/weight he was in.  Did the doctor mention a concern?

There are members here with very petite babies, and some with very large babies.  What matters is, what did your doctor have to say?

my best friends baby was 15 lbs at 3 months, 5lbs 13 oz at birth, and now at 4 and a half months he's 22 lbs i agree with peekawho if doctor is not concerned he should be fine

My daughter was born at 7.12 pounds and she is now 3 months and 1 week and she weighs 14 pounds already. She drinks 3 oz exactly every 2 hours and at night every 4 hours.

My son gained weight really quickly up until he hit 4 months.  It was very quick just like that, but then at his 6, 9, and 12 month check ups he had only gained 2 lbs each time.  I wouldnt worry about it and see what happens at the 6 month check up.  It actually sounds pretty normal, just going off of my own situation.  I do know by 2 months my son had doubled his birth weight.  So at 2 months, he was over 12 lbs. and now at 13 months he is only 19.5 lbs.  It really does slow down.

my little ayla was 5 15 at birth 4 weeks early, and she is 10 weeks now and weighs 10 pounds 12 ounces, myleigh was only 5 4 and now at 10 weeks weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces, both are normal with height and weight, i was concerned because ayla is Always hungry and if you look at my pics you will see how chunky she is, doc said she was perfect! so I go by what the doc says.
