Yeast Rash

Hello Ladies. My dd, 15mos has a rash in her diaper, more up front and now it's on her back thigh and calf (sigh) and I think a bit on her hip....The doctor last Friday did confirm it was Yeast but still has not really shown any improvement in the last week. We have been putting on Lotrimin 2x a day and Do have a call into the Dr. Just thought I'd ask if you had any other remedies? Thanks!

OMG!  I think Zeva is having the same problem... Taking her to the doctor today at 10am (MST - 2 hours behind ya)... I was going to inquire about a yeast/diaper rash cream that my hubby saw on tv called "vusion"... It isn't over the counter... Check out the website (vusionointment.com) and they have a $25 rebate offer you can print out... I will let you know how it goes!

Okay... the doctor had never heard of vusion (and neither had the pharmacist)... the dr said I could use lotrimin but I requested a script... she gave me a script for nystatin, turns out it was only $2 after insurance (cheaper than lotrimin)... We'll see how it works....

Yeah, We asked about the nystatin and she said it was the same as Lotrimin, SOOO my dh got angry and said, "then why do you perscribe it?" she said then it was a little different. I have not heard from them today.......Yesterday they said they'd call back today. I'm not calling them because I'd rather blow up on them tomorrow (just cranky I guess) Well, I just need to look up if it spreads & how. My girlfriend said I should leave her w/her diaper off to let the air get it as much as possible. Who knows, next I'll have yeast all over the house, ha ha ha. I did look up the vusion, looks like a good cream. Well, keep me posted on baby Zevas rash!!!

My doc recommends monistat that you can buy in the drugstore (for women's yeast infections).  It worked great on my son's yeast rash.

My pharmacist said to make sure we got Lotrimin AF (Anti-Fungal),
it cleared my daughters rash up right away

Well, I found out today that the rash on her diaper area is yeast but the spreading one on her leg is not. They gave me some nystatin, I hope it clears up!! My neighbor recommended the monistat, that's my next step, thanks!

The nystatin worked great!  We used it twice on Thursday and this morning the rash was almost completely gone!
