Yeast infection question

I am 12w 6d and I went to the dr's about a week and a half ago b/c I thought I had a yeast infection.  I was taking progesterone vaginal inserts at the time and had recently had a yeast infection and didn't even know it due to the fact that the progesterone causes a lot of moisture and a yeast looking discharge (tmi sorry!).  The dr went to look to see if he could get a sample of the discharge to look at under a microscope to check for yeast but he said I had sooo much progesterone discharge in there that he could barely see my cervix!! Yuck!! Anyway, the last one I had was not the itchy kind and I thought that is what this one might have been. He was unable to get a sample and he told me to take monistat 7 for 14 days.  He did not tell me why he said that.  I've already taken the 7 day I finished it a couple of days ago and I stopped the progesterone last Sunday and do not feel like I still have a yeast infection.  Should I take the other monistat 7 that the dr said to or just let it go??

I wouldn't take another dose if you feel fine now. Especially since the doctor was guessing cause he couldn't get a good sample. Just watch it and if you start feeling another yeast infection coming on you know what to do.

i am 28 wks now... and at 16wks my dr said i had a pretty severe yeast infection, and i had No Idea!  I had some discharge, but I thought it was the normal kind during pregnancy.. but other than that, no itching or burning like they say.  I took the 3 day.. and I assumed it went away. But... I did notice a little burning during intercourse.. that was all.  After I took the med that stopped.  I had the same discharge recently, so i did the 3 day again.  But other than the dr telling me I had one, I honestly had no clue.  Sorry if all that was too much information:)-  I haven't had an exam since, so I still don't know if it's gone yet.  As far as I know, thatwas my 1st Y.I .ever.  wierd
