about the depo shot ....

I got my first shot on Sept. 7,2001. I have been taking it ever since then. My last shot which i decided to skip, was due on the 19th of March. It is now April 9, and i still have not started my period, I havent even begun spotting. I must add I did not bleed at all the whole time i was on the shot (about 1 yr and 7 months). I just wondered if it was normal to take this long to have a period?

It can take up to a year for your period to resume after quitting Depo. Most get it back within 3 months, though.

I was on depo for almost a year. When I got off it I didnt have a period for almost 5 months. I guess everyone is different, If its still not there in a couple months call your dr and ask.

I took the depo shot twice and then it took almost 18 mths for me to get my period back. Not that I missed it though...lol
