acne and pregnant

Hi everyone. I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant and my back will NOT stop breaking out in pimples. My face is perfectly clear and my chest is a little bit broken out. I use clindoxyl gel and apricot scrub. Nothing seems to work. Any advice???? I want my back to clear up before tank top season!

OK i totally sympathise with you.. when i first became pregnant i broke out EVERYWHERE.. face, chest, back, shoulders.. it was awful. Then around the middle of my 2nd tri-mester my face cleared up and got that 'glow' (well thats what people kept saying) however my back and shoulders never cleared up. Its remained the same (if not alittle worse) i really hate it and theres not much you can do as its hormonal. My due date is tomorrow and ive noticed in the last week that my face has started breaking out again. I wonder if its due to a surge of hormones because im about to give birth. I heard the baby releases hormones before you go into labour.  Could this change in my body be a good one??  Its hard to think of pimples as a good thing. Lol.

I dont really have a remedy for the back acne.. Dont use any harsh body washes.. maybe best to just use water on your back so you dont upset the Ph in your skin.. ?

I used some tea tree oil.  You can buy it at Walmart, The Body Shop, Ulta, or a drugstore.  Pregnancy acne is no fun!!

i had the same thing, just my back, it was horrible. I started using the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Body Wash - it worked after a week or so. It will clear up, its those lovely hormones!

UUHHHGGG! I totally had back acne with my first pregnancy, and I am now a few weeks pregnant again and in the same boat as you! I don't know why some women get it and some don't..I just use a good acne free body wash (several times a day if you must) (I think Neutrogena oil free body wash is what i used..) and I noticed that being out in the sun actually helped, and also sleeping with no shirt, made it less aggravated..If you find something that works for you let me know, I have to start this all over again, these next 9 months should be fun..LOL!~bops

I'm about 7 weeks as well and I too have acne...on my back, neck and along my chin.  One of the flattering facts of pregnancy I've learned.  I just keep in mind that it's the hormones and it won't have it forever.  If I stress over it it'll probably get worse.

ps..my questions/ answers always get buried into these forums..how do i find them again? do i just have to keep searching???

you are no the only one who has an acne prob. I had a few that would come up around that time of the month. I am now 14 weeks preg and I have the on my back a few on the neck and my face is horrible. When I go out I use that color blend creme foundation and it doesn't make it as noticeable but I feel like veryon is looking. I have gotten a couple of little bumps on my stomach but they don't look like pimples. I sympathize with everyone on acne in pregnancy. It SUCKS!
