alkaline phosphatase concerns

yes hi my daughter is 3 weeks old and her alkaline phosphatase level is 320 i know that is not normal for her age i am just simply trying to find out the symptoms and what can cause her level to go so high and could that cause her to break her bones easily or to bruise easily if someone could get back to me asap that would be great i am really concerned about my daughter and noone will tell me anything please help thanks

I think there is a possibility of liver issues or bone issues if the ap count is high.  They do further testing to see if it is a bone issue or a liver issue.  Sorry but I don't know more.  Have you simply googled alkaline phosphatase?

hi yes we have googled it and that is what it told us too reason we are asking is cause our 3 week old at the time had a non depressed skull fracture and no further fractures than a week later the doctors found that she had two fracture ribs that were in the healing process now when we took her to the er they ran some blood test and her alkaline phosphatase level was 320 and they told us it was 2 times the normal amount for a 3 week old and we dont know what caused it or what damage it can do to her we are very concerned and worried parents now can it cause brittle bone disease or anything that would cause her to break bones easily we need help we dont know what is going on we have another daughter who is extremely healthy then we have our little one with this problem please someone help us thanks
