am i misscarrying

I really hope someone can help me im really scared, going by my lmp i should be 6 weeks preg but when my doctor did the u/s it was only showing a sac and yolk and she said the baby was only meassuring 41/2 weeks and this was on feb 8th, well on feb 12 i went to the restroom and there was a tiny bit of blood so went to the hospital because i also have a cyst on my left overy so i did not know if it could be that bothering me, i told them my symptoms pain on left side and back, bad headach and a small amount of blood , the assumed m/c which upset me they checked my horomone levels and said they were really high for only being 51/2 weeks they were showing more around 8 weeks, so i asked them if they could do an u/s and check for a heartbeat she said no if it was a m/c it would happen over the weekend or i could find out at my apt on monday, so here it is now sat and i have to wait to know if my baby is ok, im really scared because this has never happened to me before.It would just really help to know if i should worry or if this has happened to anyone before and the outcome was good.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I can't believe they wouldn't do an ultrasound for you. I hope everything is ok with your baby. It is good that your numbers are high.

I had the same thing with my first ultrasound,,, but one week later there was the baby... Didn't make sence to me cuz the dates seem wrong but went it... We saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks... But now going on 13 weeks I found out yesterday the baby died at 10 weeks.. I never had a symptom.. But I want u to b hopefull sometimes there is a little bleeding when the egg implants... thanks to evryone that replied and to emptyinside im sorry to hear about your lost well i have an update .. i went to the doctor monday and they did an u/s and there was a heartbeat they say it is slow 104bpm but i have read that it can be normal since i was only 6 weeks monday but they drew more blood to check my levels to see if they went up any and i got the call today :thursday: that they went down a little, so i asked them to bring me in and do an u/s and see if the heartbeat is still there, i go in tomorrow and as soon as i know something i will post i am so scared , i have a 14 month old and this never happened with her oh yea i also dont have any symptoms of being pregnant exsept my boobs are sore so this makes things even more scary but no more bleeding or cramping so thats a positive
