Mel - if it showed positive, the chances you are pregnant are very high.
Also, the chances this pregnancy is ectopicEctopic pregnancy (occuring somewhere outside the uterus) is increased because your tubes ought to be closed, so the chances the egg followed the normalNormal saline flush pattern of going through your tubes and into your uterus is decreased.
Call your doc tomorrow and schedule an appointment. My guess is, he/she will see you immediately.
Hello. I'm not sure if tubalEctopic pregnancy Gynecologic laparoscopy Tubal ligation Tubal ligation - series litagation is the same as having your tubes tied. Anyways, if it is my mom had her tubes tied right after I was born (23 years ago) she got pregnant 11 years later. her doctors told her they can come untied at anytime, but not to use having her tubes tied as a method of birth control after 10 years, because there is more of a chance that she can get pregnant. But that was a long time ago and they could have made improvements to the surgery since then. But anyways it is more usual to have a false negative but not a false positive because HCG makes the test positive.Congrats and good luck! Sorry i couldn't be much help.
here's something from my school book(im going for nursing)
"A recent study has estimated that 143 women in 10,000 get pregnant after a tubal ligation, making the percentage about 1.43% which is better coverage than you’ll likely get from other forms of birth control because of the human error. In these rare cases, the fallopian tubes often grow back together, allowing the egg to come down and be fertilized and then move into the uterus. Many of these pregnancies actually turn out to be ectopic pregnancies because of the damage done to the tube during a tubal ligation."
I am 31 years old and have had my tubes tied after my 2nd child was born about 6 years ago. Here is my concern..... I have regular periods and always start from 25 to 28 days. Now this past month I skipped my period and since then nothing. I had several days where my legs would cramp and it felt like I was going to start my period..... but nothing still. I have started peeing more than normal. I did take a prego test last week and it came up negative. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with me? Am I in the early stages of menopause or could I still be pregnant? HELP ME!!! Anyone...... I dont want to go to the doctor because I dont have insurance. Hoping someone else can help ease my mind!!
