ankle and leg pain

During the night my right leg and ankle hurt extrememly bad.  It is only my right leg and ankle.  There is also some swelling on that leg when I get up in the morning. The doctor told me that it was normal.  I am 28 weeks along.  This is my third pregnancy, and I never had any pain and sweling like this.  I have a hard time sleeping because of the pain.  Anyone else had this problem?

If its only one leg, I'm a little concerned.  Especially with pain and swelling in one leg.  
I might insist on coming in to be seen.  Its not impossible that this might be a blood clot.  

Swelling in both legs, that might be less worriesome to me, personally.

Thank you very much for the advice.  I am a LPN, and sometimes I let the nurse in me go out the window, or I just chastize myself for being too worrisome.  I have been concerned, but the PA at my OB's office told me a couple of weeks ago that the swelling was normal, and that my blood work came back fine.  However, the swelling and pain in the right leg only has not went away.  It seems to have increased.  Thanks again for your advice.

I'd sure feel better if they saw you, in person.  Is the calf hot or red?  or your thigh?

My calf feels a little warm.  My leg and foot becomes tight also.  It is just the pain that doesn't stop.  It hurts to flex my foot.  I have an appt on Dec 4th, but I don't know if I should try to change it or not.  When I was in the office a couple of weeks ago, the PA kind of blew me off, saying it was all normal since the blood work all came back normal except my iron being really low.  Do you think I should try to reschedule or is that being pushy?
