Has anyone had an HSG done before? I am having this done on Friday and was wanting to know if anyone has had success getting pregnant after this? It has been 8 months since my m/c and I have only had 4 afs and they were all induced by taking prometrium. Any input would be great. Baby dust to all!!
i had one done and it was not too bad they injest the dye into your cervics and then they take pictures as the dye goes through for me the only discomfort was when they inserted the dye tube and i cramped for a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys bit. But i have heard from other womenWomen's way that they were in terrible pain, i think it has to do with your pain threshold and wheter or not you took some pain pills before take alot of tylonal and you will be fine good luck. you could be preg next month.
I didn't get pg after mine, but I've read about several girls on here that did. Not the most pleasant experience, but at least it doesn't take too long.
i had mine done to see if my tubes were blockedBlocked tear duct and they werent my doctor told me right away that all looked good i didnt get pregnant right away after mine either but i have heard alot of womenWomen's way have.
I had one done at the end of November. The only pain I had was the cramping when he inflated the balloon for the tube to stay in place.
Mine was to check my tubes. Both were blocked at the entrance from the uterus (you can have blockages in many locations). He was able to clear out the left side but the right remains blocked. Him and the doc said that was no big deal.
I believe I conceived that same cycle, but it didnt stick and I lost it on Christmas. (I had two faint positives then two negatives and then started to bleed).
But I have hope it will happen soon for us. We tried for a year before finding out the problem. And I am very glad I had it done. It was worth the uncomfortableness if it means we will get pregnant.
I had mine after an ectopic to see if there was any blockage inside the tubes. The cramping didn't bother me too much, but when they inflate the baloon for the cathedar, I wanted to jump off the table. Of course, I couldn't because I was tethered to it.
had mine done too last year to see if my tubes are blocked... some people get pregnant after but not me...so goodluck
it hurts/cramping afterwards but it will go away with a simple ibuprofen
I had one done and I thought it was pretty painful, but worthwhile. At least if it is painful for you, it only lasts a few minutes! I did get pregnant during my next cycle, but miscarried shortly after (not because of the procedure). I also got pregnant right after my miscarriage, so I really do think it helps to get things moving.
