Sorry about posting a third time in a week, but this is my week of "issues"!
My allergies are killing me!!!!
Not only do I have allergies to pollen and everything outside, but my dog is also loosing her hair (yes, I have slight allergies to my dog - it isnt bad except when she loses her hair)
I understand where you are coming from as well! Mine have been horrible as well and caused a bacterial infection in my respiratory system. My OB prescribed Zyrtec for me to start taking. She said it was fine to take and I am 14 weeks pregnant. I hope you feel better!
I'm not preggers as of yet, but my dr. knows we are trying and prescribed Rhinocort nasal spray. Said it's safe to use during pregnancy. I've also tried Zyrtec, Allegra, Nasonex, Claritin, Flonase...the list goes on and on... and I like Rhinocort the best of any of these. I personally hate nasal sprays as I would much rather take a pill, but it works much better than anything I've tried so far. Hope that helps!! :)
im there too! I sneeze so much and it's so embarrassing. I've actually done that the whole pregnancy. But now that the weather has warmed and the grass is being cut I am getting quite irritated. 4 more months. man that seems like forever! But I know she's worth it. I know we can take Benadryl but that stuff just KNOCKS ME OUT! I read ina magazine to talk to doc about claritin? If things get worse, I will def. have to ask him!
I actually JUST developed allergies and asthma, and my doctor put me on Singulair (sp?). I haven't taken it long enough to know if it works, but she said it works with both since they couldn't put me on an inhaler... and also to say that I feel your pain :)
Singular is awesome! I took it pre pregnancy for asthma and allergies but went off of it.....because i guess I was just too lazy to go get it refilled last time. I have a doc appt. on Friday and plan to ask his advice on what to take!
I have the WORST allergies and I have Asthma too. I take Benadryl every night and when I am desperate during the day, I take Zyrtec and my doctor said it is perfectly fine. I also have Rhinocort for night time but hardly use it because I take enough already. I am also on Singlair and 2 inhalors for my Asthma. I had a CVS and no genetic defects.
That is really strange. My doctor told me not to take Zyrtec!!! (but said that Benadryl is ok, if necessary)
Benadryl just makes me REALLY tired...and my DH doesn't think that it is a good idea for me to take too much of any medication (he also doesnt have allergies and doesn't TRULY understand my suffering!) This is our first child and he is very/overly protective...
The good thing is : I showed him all your posts, and I think he realizes that many people take allergy medicines while pregnant! I have a feeling he will relax a little if I have to take a tablet here and there for the next couple of weeks. Thanks girls!

I just hope this allergy season goes by quickly!
