anyone get a positive hpt from a cheapy test before af was due?

hello

am almost at time of the month (should be due on either tomorrow or Weds) bought a cheapy test this morn which is test from day of af, but tested when i got home, came back negative. (have another 3 of these tests waiting as they are so cheap, lol)
i have had sore boobs and fatigue for over a week now, had extra mucus when going to the loo (though not every day)
and my skin is extremely clear which is very unusual as i am almost at af, i always have a spot or 2.
have other symptoms too which are telling me i am, but i just need the positive hpt! has anyone had a positive from a cheapy before their actual af was due? i should know this could go on, i didn't get a bfp with my 3rd baby til i was a week late and i tested the day my af was due with him too and got a negative. do the symptoms i'm having (if i am preg) not mean hcg would be increased enough in my urine by now to give a positive?

I haven't had a positive from a cheapie before, but from what I heard they do work, they just require more hcg in the urine to detect pregnancy. So it is probobly too early to test. Hope you get your BFP this month..Right now I'm on the dreaded 2 week wait ;p
If you are getting those symptoms, then you most likely do have enough hcg to test using a high sensitivity test. You can get tests that measure as little as 20 miu of hcg. I think the cheapies don't work until there is about 50 miu in your urine.

iv used dollar tests b4. with my daughter i got a faint positive 2 days b4 my period was due.

With the cheap one's I was 2 days past my AF due and still only got a faint line. I got a dark line straight away on a clear blue the next morning.

tested this morning it came back negative, not an hour later my af started, ah well, onto the next attempt! :-)
